Kerala  is a state of India. It is located at southern part of India. It is surrounded by  one side from Malabar Coast.

The total population size is 33,387,677 as per the available statistics of 2011. It is a  highly populated state of india. Its total geographical area covered 38, 863 km2.

Kerala is popular for its spices and it is also referred as “Garden of Spices” or “Spice Garden of India”.

Other than these, there are about 35 small rivers and rivulets flowing down from the Ghats.

Weather in Kerala

The weather remains hot throughout the year owing to its geographical area  but in the beginning and end of  the year weather remains cold. From December to February the weather remains chill and temperature slip down. It is an ideal time to visit here . But most of the places generally face gatherings of people owing to occasion of New year.

But in the month of May and June weather varies between 26oC to 30oC and fares of Hotels become cheaper in comparison to rest of the months. It is an ideal time for family vacation because schools remains close. Budget packages are offered.

Every year in the month of August mainly second saturday a snake boat and Trophy Boat race is conducted.  Weather become favorable and many families visit Kerala to experience the monsoon season. This is a good time for trekking in Munnar.  Temperature in Kerala in August become pleasant and the environment becomes dust free after rains.

September to November weather slip down further and hotels fares can be subsidized and rooms are available easily.
